Why, my soul, are you burdened so?
Why, each morning, do you great me with despair?

For don't you know I've all I need on earth,
and all a soul should want is satisfied?

For the Lord has blessed thee,
though my sins are a treacherous thing.
So please do not distress me.
Since Joy is what the Savior's mercy brings.
